Owner Kelly Borrello always knew she wanted to be a dog groomer. After getting her Bachelors of Science in Graphic Design from Buffalo State College, Kelly started her path to become a dog groomer at PetSmart.
After her training at PetSmart, she started at the Harris Hill Animal Hospital, where she developed her own client base of about 300 clients.
Knowing she always wanted to open her own salon, and to do it before she was 30, Kelly opened Smooches for Pooches on 04/01/2010, at the age of 29.
Kelly and her staff attend continuous education dog grooming seminars every year, making sure that she and her staff are knowledgeable of the industries latest trends.
She takes pride in every groom, and feels that at Smooches clients are like family. Just about 8 years and 9 employees later, Smooches is the business Kelly always dreamed of having.
